Independent animator Don Hertzfeldt will receive the San Francisco International Film Festival's Persistence of Vision Award. This year's film festival (April 22nd - May 6th, 2010) will naturally recognize the artist for his tireless devotion to the craft. The awards program will also include showings of Hertzfeldt-produced cartoons "I am so proud of you" (2008) and "Intermission in the Third Dimension" (2003), among others.
